4. Donte Grantham

Grantham was one of Clemson’s top players before tearing his ACL in January. He was forced to miss the rest of the year and the summer because of surgery and rehab. Donte wasn’t selected in the 2018 NBA Draft and didn’t play in the summer league. The injury has caused many teams to overlook him but if he recovers and is fully healthy, he could be a dynamic G-League player for an NBA franchise.

Before tearing his ACL, Grantham was putting up 14.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Tigers. He also managed to shoot 56% from the field, 41.9% from deep, and 78% from the free throw line. Donte was the team’s second-leading scorer and second-leading rebounder when he was healthy.

He was limited to only 19 games because of the injury but he should be able to return soon as it has been almost seven months since the injury originally occurred. This would be a high-risk, high-reward move for Charlotte. They would be banking on Grantham returning fully healthy and at the same level he was at before the injury which isn’t a guarantee.

Nonetheless, I think he would be worth the risk for the Greensboro Swarm. The 6’8 forward is a dynamic player who could help the Hornets’ G-League affiliate win games.
