Cody Zeller

  • 7.1 points, 5.4 rebounds per game in 2017-18 (33 games played)

The 25-year old center had a rough season last year, but it wasn’t all his fault. Cody Zeller averaged 10 points/6 rebounds in 2016-17, but Howard came in and took the starting job. Not only that, but a torn meniscus in his left knee kept him out more than half the season.

With Zeller healthy and Howard out the door, I think Zeller is ready for a bounce back year. He is still relatively young with some experience, and will step right into the starting center role. Zeller’s ceiling is not super high due to his lack of offensive skill set, but he is a bruiser who will battle in the paint for the Hornets.
