4. Miles Bridges in the Dunk Contest

As our contributor here at Swarm and Sting Stephen Waniewski discussed in his most recent article regarding the exciting Charlotte Hornets rookie, Miles Bridges is a guy that the fans want to see in the Dunk Contest.

Man, this guy is fun to watch. When the Hornets traded down one spot in the 2018 NBA Draft to land Bridges, we all know they were getting quite an athlete. Watching him at Michigan State, you saw that explosiveness and raw upside, but he did tend to settle for jump-shots a lot during his two years in college.

Well, that hasn’t been the case in the NBA. Bridges is attacking the basket with some fierce aggression, and has already had some highlight reel slams. Remember, we’re just 11 games into the season.

While he has shown he can hit the three-point shot, it’s just nice to see him take the ball to the rack and play super aggressively.

It would just be perfect for Bridges to represent the Charlotte Hornets during All-Star weekend in front of the home crowd. The 20-year old has the ability to win the contest, and that would have the fans buzzing (pun intended) for a long time.

Time will tell if Bridges will fly with the best of them at All-Star weekend.
