2. Dwayne Bacon

Dwayne Bacon had only played 28 minutes in the 11 games prior this season, mostly playing late in blowout wins versus Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, and Orlando. But, tonight he ignited the comeback in the third quarter, playing into the overtime period where he sadly fouled out.

In a night where the starters just could not get things going, Dwayne scored, created his own shots and worked hard in his first important minutes of his sophomore season.

Bacon finished the night with 15 points on 5-7 shooting, including 2-3 from three-point land in 22 minutes of play.

After last nights performance, and maybe the absence of Jeremy Lamb (depending on the severity of his groin injury) on the rest of this road trip, Bacon’s play may have earned him some minutes in the rotation. Players like him and Frank Kaminsky, who have not been in the rotation, can prone to “shutting off” when they are not expected to play.

Dwayne was far from that, and if it wasn’t for our next guy, he would have been the most impressive.
