The Charlotte Hornets will soon be tested with a tough four game stretch against the 76ers, Celtics, Pacers and Thunder.

While getting a well-earned win in Detroit to put them above the .500 mark was nice, the Charlotte Hornets must focus on what lies ahead. After Tuesday’s upcoming game in Cleveland, the Hornets will begin a really difficult stretch in which they will see four different contenders.

Charlotte will host Philadelphia on Saturday, Boston on Monday and Indiana on Wednesday before flying out to Oklahoma City on Friday to begin a short two game road trip.

That four game stretch is brutal, considering all four of those teams are not only playoff teams, but they could all contend for a title. It’s going to be tough to overcome the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, but those teams are all bound for deep playoff runs.

Getting a win against the Cavaliers in Cleveland before beginning that stretch would be huge. It would give the team some confidence. The Cavs may own the worst record in the NBA, but you can’t underestimate them.

This will be a good test for a Charlotte Hornets team that has shown some inconsistency to begin the new season. You can’t expect them to go and win each game, but you want to be able to take some positives away from it.

Now, let’s take a look at what the Hornets need to do in order to put up a fight and come away with some wins during a really tough stretch.
