Originally selected with the 40th pick in the NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans, Bacon was later traded to the Hornets for Frank Jackson. It would seem as if the Hornets won this trade as of late.

NBA Sophmore Dwayne Bacon has seen limited playing time during the course of the season so far. His most playing time came from the loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.
In his game against the 76ers, fifteen points off the bench, and played the final bit of the game in place of veteran Nicolas Batum. Due to the poor play by Batum, it is what caused coach James Borrego to go with Bacon; seeing if could ignite the offense of the team.
In order for Bacon to be successful, he should receive more minutes with the team. He proved his worth against the 76ers and earned the minutes from his spectacular play from his Summer League performance.
Dwayne Bacon has the scoring arsenal to make clutch shots for the team, as well as having a variety of moves that he can make with the basketball. The Hornets need to give this playmaker more time so that the team can see what he is truly made of.
