The Charlotte Hornets could look towards their fellow southeast foes as they look to build and improve the roster around Kemba Walker.

Ah, nothing like hopping on the good old trade machine and speculating a teams future. The Charlotte Hornets appear to be buyers this season, and could be very active in the trade market as we continue the 2018-19 season.

We’ve already heard multiple trade rumors regarding the Charlotte Hornets this season, and that talk isn’t going to go away any time soon.

Why are they buyers? Well, this team really wants to get into the playoffs this year, and give themselves a real good shot at re-signing future free agent Kemba Walker. They’ll likely entertain offers around the league, as long as it betters the team right now.

The Charlotte Hornets could be a playoff team with the roster they have right now, so if they add some players and improve the roster even more, they could be a feared team in the Eastern Conference, especially with Walker playing at an MVP level.

I’ve decided to look at each team in the NBA and see what kind of trade I could come up with that would benefit both sides, starting with the southeast division. We’ll be looking at the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.

Let’s begin things with the Atlanta Hawks, who at this moment, are more interested in gathering assets for the future, unlike the Charlotte Hornets, who are in win-now mode.
