Atlanta Hawks

There’s no doubt in my mind that Kent Bazemore will once again be heavily involved in trade rumors this season. With Atlanta still in rebuild mode, contending teams should be all over Bazemore, even if it means parting with a first round pick.

Bazemore is a difference maker, and would help the Hornets tremendously on both ends of the floor. He’s a very good defender, and a proven threat from three-point range. He’s struggled shooting to begin this year, but he did shoot 39 percent from downtown last season.

For Atlanta, the main thing they will be looking for is a draft pick. Charlotte, who expect to be a playoff team this year, should have no problem trading away a pick, especially if it lands them a player of Bazemore’s caliber.

In order for the salaries to match, Atlanta would also be taking on Bismack Biyombo‘s contract. That shouldn’t be a big deal for a team like the Hawks, who are focusing on developing some of the younger players right now.

This is a good trade for both teams, and something I’d like to see. Even if it’s not with the Hornets, Bazemore could definitely be on the move this season. Now in the prime of his career, Bazemore could be a big addition to a team looking to make a postseason run.
