The Charlotte Hornets look to fix things on the road with a win against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Charlotte Hornets (9-9), look to fix things on the road with a win tonight over the Atlanta Hawks (3-16), following a close loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night.  In the loss, the Hornets fell 109-104 after the team was able to come back in the late stages of the game.

During this loss, Kemba Walker managed to score twenty-five points, while Jeremy Lamb had eighteen points. This game was another one that the team could not finish in the clutch stages of the fourth quarter.

The Charlotte Hornets will have a chance at redemption as they face the struggling Atlanta Hawks. The Hornets will need to come out ready to play because the last time they played an away game against a struggling team, it ended up being a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Injury Report

CHA:

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – Ankle (Out)

Tony Parker – Ribs (Out)

ATL:

Alex Poythress – Knee (Out)

Kent Bazemore – Ankle (Will Play)

Things to watch for:

In this game, the matchup between Kemba Walker and rookie Trae Young will be something worth watching. Will Kemba have another good game against the rookie product from Oklahoma?

Also, Kent Bazemore will be coming off the bench for the Hawks with limited minutes. This comes after a left-ankle sprain that he endured in this Hawks’ game against the Boston Celtics. Will the bench be able to contain him in his limited minutes?

Keys to the game:

Following the loss to the Thunder, it is essential for the Hornets to look for good possessions on offense, and to limit the open shot opportunities for this young Atlanta squad. It is critical for the bench to come out with energy since Tony Parker is not expected to play tonight.

With Tony Parker out, it is up to rookie Devonte’ Graham to come out and make the most of his playing time in another NBA game. The rookie has shown a lot of promise so far and has definitely made a name for himself in the G-League games that he has played in.

The Hornets must keep their composure, and not think lightly of the Atlanta Hawks. This team is hungry for a win, and they will look for every opportunity they can find tonight to get one.

The Hornets currently are riding a five-game winning streak against the Hawks, and they must continue their excellent play against them tonight. Will the Hornets find a way to get back over .500 tonight?
