New York Knicks

I know, this may seem like a lot for a guy in Enes Kanter, who has a reputation as being one of the worst defensive players in the league. However, it’s a chance for the team to nab a walking double-double, and they have guys who can step up at the shooting guard spot with Jeremy Lamb out.

Kanter, who is still just 26-years old, will be a free agent at the end of this season. His future in New York doesn’t look too good, considering the team needs to pay Kristaps Porzingis, and of course, they are looking to add a superstar in free agency.

On the season, Kanter is putting up averages of 15.2 points and 12.0 rebounds. He most recently had a 21 point, 26 rebound explosion against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

So, if Kanter were to come to the Hornets, would he be the center of the future? I absolutely think so. I can see him developing some real good chemistry with Kemba Walker, and despite his limited defense, the guy puts up some BIG numbers.

He’d fit perfectly next to a stretch-four like Marvin Williams. Williams would space the floor and Kanter would feast inside the paint. It would be huge to be able to just throw the ball inside to Kanter and let him make a play and get two points. Cody Zeller is great, but he’s not exactly someone that is capable of doing that, at least on a consistent basis.
