Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets could be sellers by the time the trade deadline comes around, and I think DeMarre Carroll would be a really nice addition for not only the Charlotte Hornets, but any playoff team in the league. He’s a proven veteran that provides three-point shooting and defensive versatility.

In this trade, the Hornets would add Carroll, while the Nets take on Bismack Biyombo’s contract. You would think Charlotte may be willing to trade a first rounder for someone that will help them make the playoffs, and Brooklyn would like to continue to gather first round draft picks, especially after losing a good portion of their picks to the Boston Celtics over the years.

Throughout 10 games this season, Carroll is averaging 8.3 points and shooting 32 percent from three-point range.

You can never have too many shooters nowadays, so bringing in Carroll as a starter or bench player, he’d provide a great deal of floor spacing and he’d be able to play and defend multiple different positions.

If he can stay healthy, he’s a big addition to any team. Carroll missed the start of this season with an ankle injury, which may explain why he’s gotten off to a bit of a slow start. Regardless, keep an eye on Carroll and the Nets throughout the season.
