Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are in a tough spot with Terry Rozier, who will be a free agent after the season. He’s one of the best backup guards in the league, and he wants to be a starter, and with Boston focusing on the likes of Kyrie Irving and other stars in free agency, Rozier could be dealt at some point this year so they can get something in return for him.

It may not take some sort of crazy package to land Rozier, either. He’s not playing his best basketball right now, and his future in Boston is in doubt, which gives other teams leverage when negotiating. I think a package of two young players like Frank Kaminsky and Dwanye Bacon to go with a first rounder could get a deal done.

Rozier is averaging 8.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in only 22.4 minutes so far this season for the Celtics.

I think Kemba Walker and Terry Rozier would be a really fun duo in the back court to watch. Rozier may not be a starter in Charlotte, either. However, he’d likely find significant playing time, and would be a good player to have in case Walker leaves as a free agent. He stepped up for Boston last year when Kyrie Irving was out with injury, leading them to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games.

Rozier will be one of the hottest names on the market this season, and for good reason.
