Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night with a final score of 119-109.
The Charlotte Hornets ended a four-game home stand on Sunday night in sour fashion, losing to the New Orleans Pelicans by ten. Anthony Davis led the way, going off for 36 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists. The eight assists tied his career-high in that department.
After the first quarter, it just seemed like the Hornets were stuck in mud. They couldn’t get anything going as a group and the Pelicans took advantage. Charlotte led by one after the first period.
The Hornets starters combined for just 42 points, where the Pelicans starters combined for 81 points. However, the Hornets bench was fantastic, combing for 67 points. They had four double-digit scorers off the bench.
Cody Zeller and Charlotte’s two-way players J.P. Macura and Joe Chealey were the only players inactive tonight, so they won’t be included in the grades. Zeller missed the game after exiting Friday’s game against Utah with a rib contusion.
Let’s hand out these grades, folks.
