Adding a proven rim protector to the squad via trade could take this Charlotte Hornets team to a new level.

While the Charlotte Hornets have some good centers in Cody Zeller, Willy Hernangomez, Frank Kaminsky and Bismack Biyombo, the team could really use an extra rim protector. Biyombo is the only proven shot blocker of the group, and he typically doesn’t get into very many games for the Hornets.

The Charlotte Hornets rank 16th in the league in blocks, which isn’t horrible. Honestly, I expected them to be ranked lower than that. However, trading for a proven rim protector would really help the Hornets inside play and defense overall.

With trade season fully underway, there’s quite a few centers that the Charlotte Hornets could manage to land if they can put the right package together. As I have stated on multiple occasions, I fully expect the Hornets to be one of the more active teams on the trade market this season.
