2. (2009-2010) Charlotte Bobcats

This year had to be one of the most exciting during the Bobcats era in Charlotte. The Bobcats were finally able to return to the playoffs with a final record of 44-38 with coach Larry Brown at the helm.

During this time, Charlotte had not been in the playoffs since the 2001-2002 NBA season when they were known as the Hornets. The strange face of the matter, is how did they make it to the playoffs?

The team would go on to play the Orlando Magic in the first round of the NBA playoffs. This Charlotte would ultimately lose the series 0-4, and be eliminated from the postseason.

This team only averaged 95.3 points per game (#28 in the NBA), while allowing opposing teams to score 93.8 points per game (#1 in the NBA). The Bobcats got the job done with their excellent defense.

The top three contributors for this team consisted of Stephen Jackson (21.1 ppg), Gerald Wallace (18.8 PPG and 10 RPG), and Raymond Felton (12.1 PPG). In this season, Gerald Wallace would also go onto to become an NBA All-Star and a part of the 2010 All-Defensive first team.

The biggest move of this season was when the Bobcats sent Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic to the Golden State Warriors. The Bobcats would receive Stephen Jackson and Acie Law from Golden State.
