With the new year just around the corner, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the Charlotte Hornets in 2019.

Christmas is over, we’re approaching the new year and it’s time for the Charlotte Hornets to lock in. While this year has been alright to the Hornets, they really need to leave a mark in 2019 and take the next step.

The Hornets are currently 17-17 on the season and the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. They have shown signs throughout the year that they can truly compete, but have also had some big time let downs. Inconsistency has been a definite problem for the Hornets so far this season.

This is a huge season for the Charlotte Hornets franchise. It feels like they have a lot of pressure on them to compete and win games this year, and so far, they’ve done a pretty solid job this season. With all of that being said, let’s get things started with number five.
