With the Charlotte Hornets reportedly looking to trade Frank Kaminsky, they could look towards these five teams to deal with.

Yesterday, SportingNews reported that the Charlotte Hornets are ready to trade Frank Kaminsky, who will be a free agent after this season. If the team does not see him as a part of the future plans going forward, then it would make sense to just trade him now.

Kaminsky is in his fourth NBA season, all of which have been with the Charlotte Hornets. He’s averaging 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.6 minutes this season.

His career averages are slightly better, boosting respectable numbers of 9.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 22.4 minutes.

With his play this season, you can see why the Hornets are willing to trade him. While he has been solid throughout the year, he’s not a huge difference maker, so the team might as well try to get something in return for him instead of just letting him walk when he hits free agency over the summer.

Luckily for the Charlotte Hornets, teams around the league all highly covet stretch-fours, and that’s exactly what Kaminsky is. He’s a good trade target for teams looking for a young stretch-four that is still developing. It wouldn’t be surprising at all to see him be traded sooner rather than later.

When I was thinking about which teams could trade for Kaminsky, five particular teams continued to swirl around in my head. We’re going to break down why Kaminsky makes sense for those five teams, starting with the Houston Rockets.
