The Charlotte Hornets potentially trading for Kevin Love will come with risks, but could also be a major steal for the franchise.

Recent reports suggest that the Charlotte Hornets have interest in trading for Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love. While Love may not be what he used to be, he’d still be a good fit for a Hornets team looking to add talent any way they can.

So, is it smart to go after the injured 30 year old? Well, yes, but it’s going to come with some risks. However, you can say that about most trades that occur in the NBA. The bottom line is Love has proven himself to be a star in this league for many years, and he still gets the job done now.

The former All-Star big man has been injured throughout most of this season. He played in just four games before injuring his toe early in the season. He’s averaging 19.0 points and 13.5 rebounds for the Cavaliers this year.

For his career, Love has averages of 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds. Also, he’s an NBA champion and a five-time All-Star. Yeah, he’s had one hell of a career thus far, right?

Like I mentioned earlier, he’s not as good as he once was, but he’s still a really good player. We’re going to go over three positives that would come out of a Love trade and three negatives that would come out of a Love trade.

Let’s get into it, starting with his fit next to a man we call “The Captain.”
