2. Jeremy Lamb
Much like with Kemba Walker, trading away Jeremy Lamb would be a tough decision for the Charlotte Hornets franchise.
Lamb is having the best season of his career, averaging a career-high 15.2 points to go with 5.6 rebounds. Why is he a trade candidate for the Hornets? Well, he’ll be an unrestricted free agent after this season, and it’s no guarantee that he’ll be back with the team beyond this season.
If the team does decide to keep Kemba around, they’ll be focusing on re-signing him in free agency more than anything else. That would complicate things for Lamb, so trading him and getting something in return could please the Hornets.
He’s really developed his ability to create his own shot, as well as his defensive instincts. He’s one of the better rebounding guards in the league, and shoots about 35 percent from the three-point line. Lamb is a stealth Most Improved Player of the Year candidate, in my opinion. His jump this season appears to have gone unnoticed by a lot of people around the league.
Lamb definitely has value around the league, and they would be able to get a decent return for him. He’s really come into his own this year and has shown he’s one of the better all-around shooting guards in the Eastern Conference.
