Jeremy Lamb

Potentially trading Jeremy Lamb, who is having a breakout season for the Charlotte Hornets, is definitely an interesting story line to watch.

The Hornets would get a nice return for the 6’5″ guard, but do they really want to trade their second-leading scorer? Well, it’s something to think about, considering he’ll be a free agent after this season. You’d hate to lose him over the summer for nothing.

Lambs is averaging 15.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists for the Charlotte Hornets this season.

Has he proved enough to earn a large contract? I certainly believe so. The problem is going to be paying him that money. Kemba Walker, as I mentioned earlier, will also be a free agent, and is going to command a massive contract. The team may be hurting financially over the summer, which is something to keep in mind.

Lamb’s value is at an all-time high, and the Hornets would be able to get a nice return for him. I could see Charlotte being able to land draft picks and young players in exchange for Lamb, which would provide the teams with some extra assets moving forward.

Trading Lamb is a possibility. Unlikely? Maybe. But it’s something for the Hornets to consider moving forward.
