Potential Cavaliers and Hornets Trade (Fansided.com)

There has been much speculation of a trade that would send Kevin Love to the Hornets all season so far. This trade presented by The Step Back seems to be beneficial for both teams.

This trade would give the Hornets two new starters that they can add to their lineup, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson. With this trade, a lot of the team’s front-court problems could be solved for the Hornets.

J.R. Smith coming off of the bench would be a nice addition as well for the team. Having a veteran scorer that comes off the bench can be beneficial to a team (Example: Jamal Crawford and Lou Williams). Smith has not had a great season with the Cleveland Cavaliers so far, but a change of scenery could help him.

NBA Rookies Primed for a Second-Half Breakout (BleacherReport.com)

"Miles Bridges may have gotten the rookie wall out of the way. After a rough stretch from December until mid-January, he averaged 10.3 points in 18.5 minutes over the Charlotte Hornets’ last four games."

The Hornets’ first-rounder has been playing nice as of late. It would seem that Miles Bridges has finally gotten comfortable with the NBA, and he is now beginning to progress nicely as a rookie.

With trade rumors surrounding Nicolas Batum, the Bridges might be put into a starting role with the team soon. With Bridges also being in the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest this year, it could also be another form of motivation for the young Bridges.

Next. Mavericks inquire about Kemba Walker. dark

Charlotte has never had a player who has won the dunk contest; Gerald Wallace was the team’s last participant in the 2009-2010 season. If Miles Bridges wins the contest, it would be huge for the city of Charlotte, as well as improve his progression and confidence.
