If the Charlotte Hornets land Marc Gasol in a trade, I feel very confident in saying that the team will get into the 2019 NBA Playoffs.
I know, we don’t even have any idea what the Hornets would be giving the Grizzlies in return for Gasol, but still, this guy would be a complete game changer for the franchise. The team is currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, and could pass Brooklyn for sixth with a big addition like Gasol.
Kemba Walker and Marc Gasol would certainly have a chance to lead the way and climb the standings as we get into the later stages of the season. Getting Gasol comfortable in the system quickly would be big, and when he does settle down and plays his role well, that two-man duo could be scary good.
Things seem to be going well in terms of trade talks so far, but with the trade deadline on Thursday, both sides will have to hustle and get a deal done sooner rather than later. I know that both Hornets and Grizzlies fans are eager to hear about the outcome of this deal.
