Charlotte Hornets: All-Star Weekend kicks off on Friday night
The Charlotte Hornets are set to host All-Star weekend with the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and Rising Stars Game on Friday night.
With the NBA All-Star game set to kick off on Friday night in Charlotte, the Charlotte Hornets are eager to be represented by Kemba Walker and Miles Bridges. This is huge for the city of Charlotte, as they have not hosted an All-Star game since 1991.
The All-Star game is expected to draw large amounts of people from all over to witness All-Star weekend in Charlotte. Over All-Star weekend, expect Charlotte to get a lot of publicity.
Unlike recent years, the Charlotte Hornets will be represented by multiple players, thanks to Walker and Bridges’ hard work this season. Miles Bridges will be participating in the NBA Dunk Contest, while Kemba Walker will be a part of the Three-Point Contest, and a starter in the NB All-Star game.

It will be interesting to see how Miles Bridges performs in the Dunk Contest this year as a rookie. He will have a lot of people watching him, but hopefully, the pressure will not faze him. Charlotte has not had a participant in the Dunk Contest since Gerald Wallace participated in it, in the 2009-2010 season.
Moreover, Walker will be the first Hornet to start in the NBA All-Star game, since Larry Johnson and Eddie Jones received the honors. Fans are excited to see how Walker performs during All-Star weekend.
As an All-Star. Walker will be a part of Team Giannis; he will start alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Joel Embid, and Paul George. This team has the talent to win the All-Star game potentially, but it will be interesting to see how Walker fits in with the other starters on his team.
