Overcome the difficult schedule

One of our many great contributors here at Swarm and Sting, Elijah Edwards, recently broke down the Charlotte Hornets post All-Star break schedule.

As Elijah noted in his article, the Hornets have the second most difficult schedule remaining in the entire league. Only the Oklahoma City Thunder have a harder schedule.

This stretch includes two games against the NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors. Charlotte will also have to face off against the Toronto Raptors twice, who are currently second in the Eastern Conference.

Obviously, this is a pretty brutal stretch for the Hornets. They are going to have to steal some tough wins and take care of home court. Playing against some elite teams will be a good test, but at the end of the day, the Hornets need every win they can get.

They will have to also, of course, beat the teams that they are expected to beat. The Hornets can’t roll over or take a night off against a losing team.

I have the Charlotte Hornets finishing with a 39-43 record. We’ll see if they finish below that prediction or above it, but regardless, the team is in position to make the playoffs, and that’s what’s important.
