General health

It goes without saying, but injuries are apart of basketball, and they can change the outlook on a season in the blink of an eye.

This really goes for any team, obviously. You never want to see a player get hurt. If the Hornets were to lose Kemba Walker to injury for multiple games, there is a good chance the season would be toast and the playoffs would be out of reach.

Walker has been healthy throughout the season, and hasn’t missed a single game.

Charlotte has pushed through multiple injuries throughout the season, and are now at full strength. Cody Zeller, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jeremy Lamb and Tony Parker have all missed time with injuries.

Luckily for the Hornets, it’s mostly just been a few dings, aside from Zeller, who suffered a fractured hand. When Zeller was out of the lineup, the Hornets were able to get some nice production from players such as Bismack Biyombo and Willy Hernangomez, which was a big help.

If the Hornets remain relatively healthy for the remainder of the season, they will have a real chance at making a playoff birth. Injuries to any key players would be a major bummer for this team.
