Bol Bol

Snagging Oregon freshman Bol Bol in the late lottery/mid first-round would be a major steal for the Charlotte Hornets.

Prior to this season, Bol was considered by many to be a top-five pick. However, a season ending foot injury has complicated things, and with his long-term durability in question, it would not be surprising to see his draft stock continue to drop.

Talent wise, Bol Bol has to be near the top of his class. He has tremendous size at 7’2″, but also has an incredible shooting touch. Whether he’s stretching the floor out to the three-point line or scoring off the dribble, this guy can put the ball in the basket.

Bol Bol is obviously the son of former NBA center Manute Bol, who passed away in 2010. Manute once averaged a whopping 5.0 blocks per game, and that shot-blocking skill has clearly been passed down to Bol.

He has the skill set to fit in today’s NBA, and has star potential. Like I mentioned earlier, the problem is his long-term health. There are some real concerns about his durability, but if he’s available when the Hornets are on the clock, Bol Bol could be hard to pass up on.

Bol Bol is definitely making his father proud.
