The Charlotte Hornets are legit after their latest victory
With their latest win, the Charlotte Hornets have earned their first four-game winning streak of the season.
The Charlotte Hornets are on a roll as they have won their fourth consecutive game of this NBA season. Winning games consecutively has been tough for Charlotte, but they have finally won four consecutive games.
The team’s most recent victory came on Tuesday night in Uptown against the San Antonio Spurs with a final score of 125-116. This game was essential for the Hornets’ playoff race, and they managed to keep up their momentum with this victory.

This win against the Spurs was historic for the team, as they have not swept San Antonio since the 1996-97 season. It is hard to imagine going over twenty years without beating a team twice in one season.
This victory was well earned by the whole team, and Charlotte had their entire roster balling out. This victory was lead by two starters who caught fire, Kemba Walker and Dwayne Bacon.
Walker started the game slowly by scoring only six points in the first half. Despite the slow start, Kemba would not let it stop him from finishing the game with a 38 point double-double; he was also one rebound away from getting his first triple-double.
Bacon, on the other hand, was just on fire during the entire game. He finished the game with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. This game would be the fifth start for Bacon this year and would give him a new career-high in points.
Over the past few games, the Hornets have turned up their defensive intensity, and have made it hard for opposing teams to get settled in on offense. In this game alone, the Hornets forced the Spurs to turn the ball over twelve times.
The Spurs are ranked #1 in the NBA with the least amount of turnovers committed per game. and the Hornets are right behind them in that category at 2nd. Both of these teams are really good at taking care of the basketball, but Charlotte just plainly outplayed the Spurs.
This style of team basketball and defensive intensity that the Hornets have started to play with is the key to the Hornets’ playoff aspirations. I am confident that if they keep playing this way, they will be a playoff team this year.
On Friday, the Hornets will travel and take on the Los Angeles Lakers for the final time this season. The Lakers will be without several key players, and this game is essential for the Hornets to win.
