No. 9 – Washington Wizards:

Zachary Padmore – Darius Garland. (Vanderbilt)

“Outside of Ja Morant, Darius Garland may be the best point guard in this draft. With John Wall out for an extended period of time due to an achilles injury, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Washington go after a guard.

Garland suffered a season-ending knee injury early into the season, but that shouldn’t hurt his draft stock. He’s a definite lottery talent and would be a great pick for a Wizards team in need of a make over.

He’s terrific in the pick-and-roll, has a pretty outside shot and has a ton of upside.”

Giovanni Spillman – De’Andre Hunter. (Virginia)

“With the departure of Otto Porter Jr. before the trade deadline, drafting a small forward would be the best option for the team.

Trevor Ariza is not the answer for the Wizards, and I think that De’Andre Hunter would be a better option. With this selection, Hunter would get to stay near Virginia and the Wizards would receive another offensive threat.

Hunter is alright from the perimeter, but he has a real nice inside game when driving to the basket. He would do well with Wall and Beal, as both players are strong when driving to the basket.”
