No. 11 – Charlotte Hornets:

Zachary Padmore – Keldon Johnson. (Kentucky)

“With this pick, I simply went with who I thought was the best player available, and that would be Kentucky’s Keldon Johnson.

Johnson has great size on the perimeter at 6’6″, and he has a nice shooting touch. I think his game will translate well into the NBA with the improved spacing compared to college. It will give him more room to operate and allow him to spot up more often.

I’m not sure if he has All-Star potential, but I do really like him and think he’d be an excellent young addition to the Hornets squad. Going off positional needs, shooting guard may not be at the top of the pole, but Johnson may be too good to pass up.

A lot can happen over the next couple of months, but I think Johnson is a legit candidate for the Hornets, and he is definitely someone that I would seriously consider late in the lottery.”

Giovanni Spillman – Daniel Gafford. (Arkansas)

“In this upcoming season, Marvin Williams will be playing the final year of his contract with the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets would be wise to go after another front court prospect in this years draft.

If the Hornets want to be successful in the draft, I advice them to draft Daniel Gafford. He is a dominant prospect from Arkansas and seems like he would be a good fit with the Hornets.

Gafford proved that he could be an offensive force this season for Arkansas, while also showcasing his ability to be a defensive anchor. During the course of his season, Gafford averaged 16.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and two blocks per game.

He is also 6’11” and has nice size to play the power forward position for Charlotte. If the Hornets wish to improve their offensive and defensive abilities at the power forward position, Daniel Gafford is their guy.”
