Charlotte Hornets: 2019 NBA Mock Draft Vol. 1
No. 17 – Detroit Pistons:
Zachary Padmore – Naz Reid. (LSU)
Naz Reid is one of the more skilled big men in this draft class, and the upside he possesses will make him an attractive target in the first round. He officially declared for the draft yesterday afternoon.
Reid has a tight handle for his size, he is a capable shooter, he has a strong body and he rebounds the ball. It would make sense if a team like Detroit snags him and develops him for a couple of seasons behind Blake Griffin.
I would like to see some more consistency from him, but maybe that will change with NBA personnel around him every single day. He’s going to have to show an increased level of intensity and passion at the nest level.
Giovanni Spillman – Romeo Langford. (Indiana)
“The Detroit Pistons have lacked a productive shooting guard for the past few seasons. They just do not seem like they know what to do with this position.
Drafting Luke Kennard has not been as successful as the Pistons wanted, but they have a chance to add someone with more potential. Romeo Langford would be a nice prospect to add to the Pistons lineup.
He is a proven scorer, and has nice size to rebound the basketball. He has not been the best from the perimeter, but he has shown that he can score inside of the arc nicely. If he can work on his shot from deep, I think he can be a nice scoring option alongside Griffin and Drummond.”
