No. 18 – Oklahoma City Thunder:

Zachary Padmore – Jaxson Hayes. (Texas)

Jaxson Hayes is going to be a major project, but it could be a project that pays off down the line, especially for a playoff team like Oklahoma City.

He’s still just 18 years old, which is incredible, considering how he has already shown some really promising signs with his game. He lives around the basket, takes smart and efficient shots and can also protect the rim.

People will say that he doesn’t have much of an offensive game, but the layup/dunk is the most sought after shot in basketball, so it’s nice to see him stay within himself and not force anything. He will have plenty of time to develop other areas of his game offensively.

This would be a big time pick for the Thunder, who are currently sliding down the standings in the Western Conference.”

Giovanni Spillman – Goga Bitadze. (Republic of Georgia)

“At this selection, Goga Bitadze would be a nice prospect to come off of the bench behind Steven Adams for the Thunder. Currently, backup Nerlens Noel has not had a successful season, so another center may help the Thunder’s bench scoring.

Bitadze is a physical and dominant paint player. To me, he compares to the style of play that Steven Adams has. In 2017, Bitadze racked up 31 points, 13 rebounds and 9 blocks.

I can not think of another prospect that would fit with the Thunder’s scheme at this point in the draft.”
