Charlotte Hornets: 2019 NBA Mock Draft Vol. 1
No. 30 – Milwaukee Bucks:
Zachary Padmore – Grant Williams. (Tennessee)
“It’s been a joy watching Grant Williams over the past three years at Tennessee. It’s not yet known if he will put his name in the draft, but I would have him as a projected first round pick. His draft stock is currently at an all-time high.
Williams may be a bit undersized for a power forward at 6’7”, but he has a strong body and plays with heart. He’s developing his three-point shooting, and it will compliment his ability to play in the post very well.
He’s got a really soft touch on his shot, and would provide the Bucks with some extra depth in the front court. Brook Lopez and Nikola Mirotic will both be free agents, so the Bucks could take a strong look at taking a big man in this draft.
Williams isn’t the best prospect, but I firmly believe that he’s going to have a long, successful NBA career.”
Giovanni Spillman – Jontay Porter. (Missouri)
“For the final pick in the first round, I see the Bucks going after a player who can improve their front court.
Jontay Porter had a decent season for Missouri last season while averaging 9.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. If the Bucks decided to run Antetokounmpo at the one, I feel that Porter would place nice with him in the starting unit one day.
He can stroke it well from the three-point line, and he is a physical player in the paint. He seems like a perfect option for this Bucks team, despite the injury concerns that he has.”
