Charlotte Hornets: 2019 NBA Mock Draft Vol. 1
No. 4 – Chicago Bulls:
Zachary Padmore – Jarrett Culver. (Texas Tech)
“I’m going best player available with this pick, and right now, I’d say that it’s Jarrett Culver of Texas Tech.
His Red Raiders are in the Final Four right now, and it’s been an incredible run. All season long, Culver has proved himself to be one of the better two-way players in all of college basketball. He’s certainly one of the better defenders in this draft class.
By the way, he’s good offensively, too. He may not be the best three-point shooter yet, but he’s a very good finisher, he can draw fouls, handle the ball and make the right pass. There’s so much to like with Culver, and best of all, he wants to be great.
Chicago already has a very good young core in place with guys like Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen. Adding Culver to the mix would make things interesting for them moving forward. I could see them taking a leap sooner rather than later.”
Giovanni Spillman – Coby White. (North Carolina)
“At this spot, I would think that the Bulls would go with a point guard, as they currently do not have a dominant franchise one on the roster.
A point guard would be the best selection for Chicago, and Coby White could be a nice addition alongisde of Zach LaVine in the back court. White had a great season with the Tar Heels and seems to have some great court vision when he is searching for the open man.
With all the back court woes for the Bulls this season, I feel that White would be a nice instant starter to bring into the starting unit.”
