Charlotte Hornets: 2019 NBA Mock Draft Vol. 1
No. 6 – Memphis Grizzlies:
Zachary Padmore – Rui Hachimura. (Gonzaga)
“The Grizzlies love to add “Grit N Grind” players, and I think Rui Hachimura fits that mold, making him a solid option for the Grizzlies in the lottery.
Hachimura has really developed nicely over the past three years at Gonzaga, and has positioned himself to be one of the top picks in this years draft. He’s really got a good overall game, doing a lot of things well on both ends of the court.
He’ll be able to play multiple positions in the NBA and I just love his skill set. He can score from inside and outside, he plays defense and has athleticism. He reminds me a lot of a former Grizzlies player, Rudy Gay.
Memphis would be thrilled to land a guy like Hachimura on draft night.”
Giovanni Spillman – Cameron Reddish. (Duke)
“The Memphis Grizzlies have had a slow season this year, and they recently traded away their star center Marc Gasol.
The center position does seem locked up, as they currently have Valanciunas on the roster. The only spot that I see them lacking is improvement at the shooting guard position.
Cameron Reddish would be a great addition at this spot, as he has proved to be a great team player for the Duke Blue Devils this season. I think that he can play complementary basketball with Conley and he has nice size at the guard position.”
