Coach of the Year

Zachary Padmore: Mike Budenholzer.

“My pick for Coach of the Year would be Mike Budenholzer. He’s gotten the best out of this Bucks team and has them playing at such a high level.

He opened up the offense with his fast-paced and three-point shooting offense. There’s definitely a chance that Milwaukee comes out of the East this year, and Budenholzer has a lot to do with that. Michael Malone, Nate McMillan, Quin Snyder and Doc Rivers also deserve recognition.”

Giovanni Spillman: Mike Budenholzer.

“My pick for the Coach of the Year Award would be Mike Budenholzer. He has gone from being on one of the worst teams in the league, and joined a new team this season.

In his first year as Head Coach for the Bucks, he has led them to a division title, and helped get them the best record in the NBA. When you lead a team to the best record in the league in your first season, clearly, you’re doing something right and it deserves recognition.”

Elijah Edwards: Mike Budenholzer.

“I think Mike Budenholzer, coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, is probably the frontrunner for the award.

Sure, having a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo helps, but he has kept this team focused and humble. They get their jobs done each and every night and do so without much fanfare or bravado. Managing any NBA team is tough, but Budenholzer has made sure this team buys into his philosophies every game and it shows.

As of now, the Bucks are probably the number one threat in the East to take down the Golden State Warriors, if the two teams make it to the Finals, of course. That alone speaks volumes.”

Daniel Abee: Mike Budenholzer.

“Budenholzer did a fantastic job in Milwaukee this season and led them to becoming the only 60-win team in the NBA this year, as well as a 14-win increase from last season.

He unlocked Giannis and helped him take yet another leap in his development that saw him enter the MVP conversation. If Giannis does indeed take home the MVP award this summer, Mike Budenholzer should be owed plenty of credit.”
