Charlotte Hornets: 10 prospects to watch at NBA Draft Combine
10. P.J. Washington
After returning to Kentucky for his sophomore season, P.J. Washington improved in many areas and made himself a lock for the first round. He could be in play for when the Charlotte Hornets are on the clock.
Washington can stretch the floor at the power forward position, and he is also capable of putting the ball on the floor and making plays. He’s a good rebounder, a solid defender and is only 20 years of age.
The 6’7″ forward averaged 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 42 percent from the three-point line. He looks like a perfect fit in today’s NBA, so many teams will be vying for his services.
If he can show off during the athletic testing during the Draft Combine, that will help his stock even more. Also, him being fully healthy and recovered from a foot injury that lingered towards the end of his season would be ideal.
The 2019 NBA Draft Combine will have plenty of players that the Charlotte Hornets could look at during the draft. It’s going to be interesting to see who they end up taking, as it could be an important pick for the teams future moving forward.
