No. 9 – Washington Wizards:

Zachary Padmore: De’Andre Hunter. (Virginia)

“Washington getting Hunter with this pick would be a big time steal. Hunter is one of the better overall players in this draft, and he would bring toughness, versatility and a winning attitude to a Wizards team that is in need of a makeover.

Hunter can play either forward position, guard 1-5 and hit shots from the perimeter. He looked like a stud in the National Championship Game, and I think he will have a whole lot of success in the NBA.”

Giovanni Spillman: De’Andre Hunter. (Virginia)

“I think the Washington Wizards will go on to take De’Andre Hunter with their spot in the draft. Hunter would have an essential role in the starting unit for the Wizards. Last season, the Wizards lost both Otto Porter Jr. and Kelly Oubre Jr. and their current starter at the three is Trevor Ariza.

Hunter recently won the NCAA Basketball Championship, and he proved that he was a consistent scorer and defender during the course of last season. I think Hunter could help Washington’s defense, as they ranked 27th in the defensive rating category last season.”
