No. 11 – Minnesota Timberwolves:
Zachary Padmore: Rui Hachimura. (Gonzaga)
“Rui Hachimura’s draft stock seems to be dropping a bit at the moment, but he would still make sense for a team picking late in the lottery. He played three years of college ball, and is NBA ready. He can help the Timberwolves right away, and may be a good fit next to Karl-Anthony Towns.
He’s honestly an all-around good player, but he isn’t great at anything yet. He would help Minnesota defensively, though, while working to improve his offensive production from the perimeter. I think he’s a pretty safe bet to have a solid career.”
Giovanni Spillman: Nickeil Alexander-Walker. (Virginia Tech)
“With the Lakers not getting their projected spot at #11, the Minnesota Timberwolves can take Nickeil Alexander-Walker. This prospect is perfect for the Timberwolves, as they have been lacking production at the two spot since Jimmy Butler was traded.
Alexander-Walker averaged 16.2 points and 1.9 steals per game last season, and the Timberwolves could use these offensive abilities. He has a nose for stealing the ball, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Timberwolves end up with a steal in the draft.”
