No. 12 – Charlotte Hornets:

Zachary Padmore: Bol Bol. (Oregon)

“One thing the Charlotte Hornets would like to improve upon in the future is rim protection. Adding a player like Bol Bol, who is so long and lengthy, would help in that department. If he didn’t get hurt, we may be talking about him as a top five draft pick.

He has some legit concerns with injuries and his lack of weight, but he may be too promising to pass up here for Charlotte. He’s incredibly skilled for a man his size, showing the ability to put the ball on the floor and makes all sorts of plays. He’s a legit option for the Hornets at 12th overall.”

Giovanni Spillman: Bol Bol. (Oregon)

“This has to be my favorite pick in the entire draft. Bol Bol is the son of the great Manute Bol, the tallest man in NBA history. Bol is a prospect who was averaging over twenty points per game at the beginning of the season before suffering a foot injury that ended his season.

He was originally thought to be the #1 pick in the draft before his injury. Bol is 7’2″ and has proved that he can be a dominant player on the offensive and defensive side of the court. He averaged 2.7 blocks per game for Oregon, and it’s no secret that the Hornets need this kind of defense from their front court. He can also shoot from the perimeter, and that is a deadly talent to have at his height.

Bol is basically everything the Hornets need, and with Coach Borrego stating that he wants to see the five spot upgraded, I would be surprised if Charlotte does not take him.”
