No. 16 – Orlando Magic:

Zachary Padmore: Sekou Doumbouya. (France)

“The Orlando Magic front office, which has roots from the Milwaukee Bucks, love to take a risk and take players with high upside. Sekou Doumbouya is one of the mysteries of this years draft, but if he pans out, he could be a legit impact player for a rising Magic team.

Right now, Doumbouya is mostly a gifted athlete that can lock you up on the perimeter. He’s going to have to put a lot of work into his shooting, ball handling and more, but since John Hammond has been so committed to these projects in the past (Giannis Antetokounmpo says hi), Doumbouya is absolutely worth the risk here at 16.”

Giovanni Spillman: Sekou Doumbouya. (France)

“I think at this pick the Orlando Magic should select a player who could provide depth behind Aaron Gordon. Sekou Doumbouya would be a great prospect to help the bench unit, and eventually the starting lineup.

He’s a French prospect who has great size, and he possesses many offensive abilities that could help out the Magic. Coach Steve Clifford would also be getting a prospect who can defend as well. The Magic have transitioned into a defensive team, so Doumbouya could end up being an asset to Orlando.”
