No. 18 – Indiana Pacers:
Zachary Padmore: Nassir Little. (North Carolina)
“Nassir Little had a bit of a disappointing freshman season for North Carolina, but he still has all the tools to have a successful NBA career. Prior to the season, he was a projected top five pick, but now, he’ll have to settle for being a late lottery pick or a mid-first round pick.
He has a well built body for his age, and he plays very good defense, but he is still raw offensively. His jump shot is going to need some work, but he’ll create some chances around the basket thanks to his leaping ability. He could be a steal for a team like Indiana, who could use some extra wing depth, in the middle of the first round.”
Giovanni Spillman: Naz Reid. (LSU)
“The Indiana Pacers lack production in their front court, and the only option I see for them is Naz Reid. During his only year in college, Reid finished the season with 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for LSU.
He’s a productive scorer across the entire court, and I like his feel for the basketball. With Myles Turner locking down the center position, I think Reid has the size to make a run at the Pacers’ starting four spot in time. I think if he improves his defense and shot consistency, he’ll be a threat to opposing NBA teams.”
