No. 26 – Cleveland Cavaliers (VIA HOU):

Zachary Padmore: Neemias Queta. (Utah State)

“Neemias Queta is a really interesting prospect who doesn’t get the buzz or recognition that he deserves. He’s a long athlete that can protect the rim with ease and finish efficiently around the basket. Late in the first round, a rebuilding team like Cleveland could take a flier on him and develop him.

He reminds me a lot of Clint Capela, and would enter a situation in Cleveland where he could see minutes right away, depending on the moves they make in free agency. Queta could be a draft riser over the next few weeks.”

Giovanni Spillman: Brandon Clarke. (Gonzaga)

“With my original selection of Cameron Reddish, I think the Cavaliers should continue to add defense, and that would mean picking the forward Brandon Clarke. He has the ability to score with ease, as he averaged 16.9 points per game for Gonzaga last season.

Due to his lack of perimeter shooting, I could see him playing the forward more than the other positions. While standing at 6’8″, he averaged a whopping 3.2 blocks per game. This is a crazy number, and Cleveland would be getting a defensive steal with this pick. The Cavs were 28th in defensive rating last season, so defense would be a no brainer right here for Cleveland.”
