No. 28 – Golden State Warriors:

Zachary Padmore: Nicolas Claxton. (Georgia)

“Nicolas Claxton could be a draft riser thanks to his upside and defensive versatility. Golden State could be a good situation for him because he isn’t going to be needed right away, which will give him plenty of time to develop over the next couple of years.

He’s not a great shooter, but he is capable. If he can become more consistent in that area it is going to open up his offensive game a lot more. Golden State continues to develop late draft talent while winning championships, and that’s been big for them. Claxton could be next up.”

Giovanni Spillman: Kris Wilkes. (UCLA)

“With the Warriors finishing how they are right now, and they could easily be on track to win the finals again. There is still cause for concern though, as the Warriors may need to let Kevin Durant and even Klay Thompson walk in the off-season.

If this is the case, I seem them selecting Kris Wilkes late in the draft. He has great size, and he could make a run for the starting spot with the Warriors. He proved to be a productive three-point scorer last season for UCLA, and I know his abilities on offense and defense would be helpful to Golden State. He would be a reliable option if the Warriors lose two of their off-season.”
