No. 2 – Memphis Grizzlies:

Zachary Padmore: Ja Morant. (Murray State)

“The Grizzlies are big winners from this years Draft Lottery, as they were projected to land the eighth overall pick, but ended up with the second overall pick. Memphis would be smart to go with Ja Morant. He’d be a perfect replacement for Mike Conley, who will likely be traded during the off-season.

Morant would give Memphis another exciting young piece next to Jaren Jackson Jr. This team is making moves and rebuilding very nicely. Morant is so athletic, has great vision and is a true leader. He’s drawn comparison to Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook. If he continues to develop on the defensive end and as a shooter, watch out.”

Giovanni Spillman: Ja Morant. (Murray State)

“There is a lot of speculation that the Grizzlies may take Ja Morant with the second pick in the draft. Morant is a triple-double threat who fit well in the Grizzlies offense. This pick would be a nice insurance plan for Mike Conley, and it would allow the Grizzlies to eventually trade Conley for some assets. I would like to see Morant run the pick-and-roll game with this new dominant front, court that the Grizzlies have.”
