No. 4 – Los Angeles Lakers:

Zachary Padmore: Jarrett Culver. (Texas Tech)

“I think this pick for Los Angeles is an easy one, as Jarrett Culver is the best player on the board and can help the Lakers in multiple areas right out of the gate as a rookie. The sophomore from Texas Tech has great two-way ability, and I think he will be a star. Learning from LeBron James would be incredible for his development, too.

While his shooting from the perimeter was down compared to his freshman year, Culver grew a lot as an all-around scorer as a sophomore. He can get to the basket, draw fouls, and he has a nice floater. He has a long wingspan that will help him out defensively, and he’s another hard worker. This would be a slam dunk pick for Los Angeles.”

Giovanni Spillman: Jarrett Culver. (Texas Tech)

“At this point in the draft, the Lakers will be looking for a solid guard that they can play next to Lonzo Ball. Jarrett Culver may be their guy, and he could eventually translate into a starter for LA. Culver averaged 18.9 points per game last season for Texas Tech, and he also won the Big 12 POY. This man can score and after winning his award and honors, he has gained a lot of respect from NBA scouts.
