No. 5 – Cleveland Cavaliers:

Zachary Padmore: Darius Garland. (Vanderbilt)

“The Cavaliers may not have a top three pick, but they will still have the chance to add a great prospect. Cleveland is rebuilding the right away, so I applaud them for that. Collin Sexton had a great rookie year, but might be better off playing off the ball, which is why Darius Garland may be a good pick here.

Garland didn’t get the chance to show much in college, as a meniscus injury cut his season short. However, he’s still one of the top point guards in this draft. He has a beautiful stroke from the perimeter, he’s a solid playmaker and fights hard defensively. He’s going to need to get stronger, but I’d love to see Cleveland add to their core by selecting Garland.”

Giovanni Spillman: Cameron Reddish. (Duke)

“In my first mock draft, I had the Cavaliers taking R.J. Barrett at the second overall pick, and since Barrett will most likely be taken by this point, I feel that the Cavs should select his teammate. Cameron Reddish had a stellar season last year for Duke. He managed to play complimentary basketball with Barrett and Williamson, so I think he can do the same with Kevin Love and Collin Sexton. Reddish could easily earn a starting role at the two or three spot for Cleveland.”
