No. 3: Terence Davis (Ole Miss)

One prospect that has clearly improved his stock over the past few weeks has been Terence Davis. After an impressive outing at the NBA G-League Elite Camp, as well as the Draft Combine, Davis could be a guy that sneaks into the second round. If not, though, he’s a guy the Charlotte Hornets should look at as an undrafted free agent.

Davis balled out during the five-on-five scrimmages at the Draft Combine, showcasing his ball handling and athleticism. He averaged 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists as a senior at Ole Miss this past season. He’s a good all-around player at this stage, but will need to slow down and be more under control in the NBA.

In college, he tried to do too much at times, making bad decisions. He’s going to need to improve in that area, especially considering he will be asked to play more point guard at the next level. Despite that, he’s still easily worth a flier, and is someone that the Hornets should consider if he goes undrafted.

Davis has a good attitude, though. He wants to learn and get better, which is why I think you’ve seen him steadily improve during his short career. He could be a good project for the Hornets to look at.
