Charlotte Hornets Free Agency: 5 best destinations for Jeremy Lamb
No. 3 – Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks had been rumored to have interest in Kemba Walker, but looking at the Hornets second go-to man would be a smart move. Dallas is looking to move forward with their core headlined by Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, so adding a complimentary piece in Lamb would be ideal for them.
I’m not crazy about Walker’s potential fit in Dallas, but I do think that Lamb would fit in really nicely. He’s a guy that doesn’t have to dominate the ball to be effective. He’ll find a way to impact the game and take pressure off of Dallas’ stars when need be.
Dallas is expected to have over $30 million in cap space this off-season, and with their direction now being very clear with the sensational Doncic running the show, I expect them to be very active in improving the roster around him and getting into the playoffs as quickly as possible.
Lamb would be a great addition for the Mavericks, and could thrive as the third-option in their offense. He would likely start right away for them and be a major contributor at the shooting guard position.
Dallas is a team to watch this summer, that’s for sure.
