Pick Analysis. BELMONT. 23. Scouting Report. SF. DYLAN WINDLER. player. 118

It’s no secret; the Jazz need shooting. Belmont senior Dylan Windler is one of the best shooters in this draft class, but three-point scoring isn’t the only thing he does well, and is skill set appeals to the Jazz front office.

Windler has great size at 6’8″ and that size allows him to play three different positions on the court. He’s a good, not great, defensive player, but playing on a team like the Jazz, you’ll see anyone improve on that end of the floor. They covet his shooting and creating abilities.

He’s also a good rebounder. He averaged 10.8 rebounds during the 2018-19 season, to go with 21.3 points and 2.5 assists. He shot 43 percent from downtown, showing that he is a sniper from distance. Windler is pretty solid all-around, but his shooting is the big reason why this pick makes sense.

Utah easily has one of the better player development systems in the entire league, so the thought of what Windler could become in a few years in a Jazz jersey is definitely intriguing. He can come in and help them right away as a rotation piece, and maybe even become a starter down the road.
