Jaylen Nowell could be a second-round steal. He’s undersized for a shooting guard (6’4″), but makes up for it with his already-NBA-ready body. He can create his own shot and is particularly good from the mid-range. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this past season for Washington.
Adam Mokoka will more than likely be drafted. He could be a really good draft-and-stash option, which is what the Hornets did with Arnoldas Kulboka last year. Mokoka filled it up last season KK Mega Bemax (a club in Serbia), averaging 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He’s a do-it-all shooting guard.
Luguentz Dort is one of my favorites in this draft class because of his energy and effort on the defensive end of the court. He’s a dog defensively and always plays with 100 percent effort and aggression. The big concern with him is his jump shot, and that could prevent him from going in the first round.
